Groby’s Great Christmas Event

Just over a month to go until our free Christmas event!
Join us on Sunday 30th November, 4:30–7:30pm for an evening full of festive fun.

There will be delicious food and drink, plenty of stalls from local crafters, businesses and charities, and a great line-up of local entertainment to get you in the Christmas spirit! This includes the Heart of England Chorus who will be performing following the light switch on at 6pm.

 

Kids can enjoy meeting Santa and his elves, face painting, a fairground ride, Mr Twister and an art gallery showcasing entries from our local primary schools in the Christmas craft competition.

 

Pop the date in your diaries – we can’t wait to see you there!

Sensory Garden Opening

Marina Park’s sensory garden is officially open!

We have many to thank for their contributions towards this including our fantastic estates team for their hard work and creativity, Groby Gardening Society for their contribution towards the planting and Mes Enfants Childcare for sponsoring the beautiful dragonfly mural that can be found in the garden.

This mural is the amazing work of international artist Nicola Wood, see above photo of her and her daughter. Thank-you so much Nicola, we have already received many compliments on your work and we’re sure that those visiting the garden will get a lot of enjoyment from it!

Thank-you also to Ady Dayman for opening the garden for us along with the help from his niece – Nicola’s daughter. We loved having you there.

Park Gates Closing Time

A notice from Groby Parish Council stating: "Reminder: From the 1st October, park gates in Groby will close at 4:30pm," with "4:30pm" in red text.

 

Please be advised that the park gates in Groby will be closing at 4:30pm from Wednesday 1st October.

To avoid your cars being locked in the car park, please ensure that your vehicle has left the car park before this time.

Stallholder Information

We’re delighted to announce that the proceeds from this year’s stallholder fees at Groby’s Great Christmas Event will be donated to LOROS Hospice, a wonderful local charity providing care and support to thousands of people and families across Leicestershire.

We still have a few stalls available – so if you’d like to showcase your crafts, gifts, bakes or festive treats and help raise money for a fantastic cause, now’s the time to get involved!
